South of Broadway.
SatisfiedI mean, what better way to get back into the swing of things in performing arts than a musical? (Some may argue, but I say, keep your opinions to yourself -- this is MY journal. Mwahahah.)
Our school only performs South every other year, so it's bound to be loads of fun... We basically compile musical numbers from Broadway shows into one big musical production and perform them. It's like... mini-showings of each show, if that makes sense.
What makes it more fun is that we're going to have a large Disney portion of the show this year! It's going to be soooo fun... 'cause I love Disney songs.
I got the part of the Matchmaker from Mulan... yes. The fat lady who got an ink beard drawn on her... haha. But that doesn't mean that I have to match her physical traits -- just her personality.
I'm also hoping to be cast for the empty spots for Esmeralda to sing "God Help the Outcasts", Simba to sing "I Just Can't Wait to be King", and as part of the duet for "Under the Sea".
Needless to say... I'm excited for the show.
